My journey as a practitioner of the healing arts began with my own quest for healing. I was born into a body that experienced severe digestive issues, allergies, and asthma. As I got older and experienced various injuries and traumas, I added symptoms of chronic fatigue, depression, auto-immune, chronic immune response syndrome, PTSD, and pain to the repertoire of discomfort in my mind and body.

Finding limited success with Western Medicine, I began to seek out alternative paths to healing. I found two profound practitioners of acupuncture, sound healing, and energy healing (Katie Mink and Laurie Heron) and finally began to experience relief on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level. My relief was so profound that I immediately started studying with them and discovered that I too had an ability to help guide people into a deep state of healing and wellness.

However, it wasn't until my mom was diagnosed with a glioblastoma brain tumor that I was driven to study and practice healing arts on a full-time basis. I was by her side as she went through over 10 surgeries, experienced debilitating medication side effects, and intense fear that accompanied her end-of-life hospice care. When things went "wrong", my dad would send me in to make her more comfortable. Although I felt completely unprepared to help her and had no logical idea of what I was doing, somehow, my healing touch was effective. Although I couldn't save my mother from death, I was able to give her some peace and healing towards the end of her journey.

After my mom passed, I decided to dedicate my life to understanding what creates peace and healing in the body in order to ease the suffering of others. I will forever be grateful to my mother for her guidance and inspiration during her final days.

That was over ten years ago and I haven't looked back since. Over the years I have been blessed to study and practice the art of yoga, massage, acupuncture, energy healing, tai chi, and sound healing throughout the country, accruing well over 3,000 hours of training in the healing arts. I graduated from the Jung Tao School of Classical Chinese Medicine, West Coast Acutonics Sound Healing Program(Level VII), Asheville Yoga Teacher Training Program, Institute of Conscious Bodywork, The Asheville School of Massage and Yoga, and The Functional Nutrition Alliance Functional Nutrition Practitioner training program. For me, learning is a life-long journey. There will always be more to learn and opportunities to become a more proficient practitioner.

Ultimately, I feel that my role as a healing arts practitioner is to facilitate a deep level of healing on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level. I strive to serve as a guide to help others rediscover health and joy in their lives.
